General information
The state institution "Kazselezashchita" performs early measures to prevent avalanches and mudslides. In winter and spring, preventive descents of snow avalanches are carried out in rural and landslide-prone regions of the country.
In the summer and autumn period, preventive measures are carried out on the most explosive moraine lakes, in particular, the construction of channels and siphons, blasting and earthworks, controlled discharge of water from moraine lakes.
The developed and effective system of preventive measures allowed to reduce the threat of breaking moraine lakes, the formation of mudflows and ensured the safety of settlements.
