RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan"
The National Center for Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan was established in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 1090 of January 21, 1993 and Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 642 of July 22, 1993 in order to improve the organization of science and development of scientific and technical potential of the Republic and to solve the following tasks:
to ensure the implementation of the priority development of science,
to strengthen the scientific and technical potential of the country,
to promote the technological breakthrough of Kazakhstan.
Structure and human resources
The RSE "National Center for Integrated Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" includes leading research institutes and mining and metallurgical enterprises as subordinates:
Institute of Geology and Economics of Mineral Raw Materials;
D.A. Kunaev Institute of Mining, Almaty;
Chemical and Metallurgical Institute named after Zh.N. Abishev, Karaganda;
Eastern Research Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, Ust-Kamenogorsk;
State Scientific and Production Association of Industrial Ecology "Kazmehanobr", Almaty;
Metallurgy Center;
Branch in Astana.
In trust management - JSC "Kazchermetavtomatika", Karaganda.
In the structure of the central office of the RSE "NC KPMS RK" there are:
10 research laboratories,
an experimental complex,
a design department.
The staff of the National Center has 1227 people, including 60 doctors and 97 candidates of sciences, 31 academicians (National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 2 people, International Academy of Mineral Resources - 7 people, Academy of Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 8 people, International Academy of Informatization - 4 people, International Academy of Ecology - 2 people, National Academy of Natural Sciences - 2 people, National Academy of Engineering - 2 people, Academy of Technological Sciences of the Russian Federation - 1 person, International Thermoelectric Academy - 1 person, International Engineering Academy -1 person, Russian Academy of Natural Sciences - 1 person), 8 corresponding members and advisers (International Academy of Mineral Resources - 1 person, Academy of Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 1 person, National Engineering Academy - 4 people, International Academy of Informatization - 2 people), 49 prize winners (State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan -17 people, Prizes named after K.I. Satpayev, E.A. Buketov, Sh.E. Esenov, U. Dzholdasbekov, D.A. Kunaev - 31 people., awards of the Union of Scientists "Gylym Sardary" - 1 person.
The Center is headed by the General Director, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science, technology and education, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Abdurasul Aldashevich Zharmenov.
For their successes and achievements, the Center's employees have repeatedly been awarded various awards: the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of science, technology and education, the honorary title "Kazakstannyn enbek sinirgen kayratkeri", the prize named after academicians K.I.
