Apparatus of the akim of Karatal rural county of Zaisan district of East Kazakhstan region
Karatal rural district was founded in 1939. The administrative center is the village of Karatal, 30 km from the district center, 490 km from the regional center (Ust-Kamenogorsk). The land area is 223177 hectares, including hayfields – 5496 hectares, pasture – 181185 hectares, sown – 4914 hectares. A third is mountainous.
Settlements - 5 (Karatal, bolshoy Karatal, Ginishkesu, Stenatal, Koskora) population - 3923 people. Economically active groups of the settlement make up 2,746 people, pensioners - 399, recipients of various social benefits -272.
The national composition of the population: Russians-1.3%, Kazakhs – 98.5%, representatives of other nationalities-0.2%.
The district has received a convenient geographical area. It borders the district center and other districts. Highways of international and national importance pass through the territory of the district.
One of the districts of the district, ushden, is rich in herbs that have medicinal properties, as it is a mountainous region. (black andyz, sea buckthorn, currant, toshala, kokboyau, herbal tea)
