    On November 21, the Pushkin Regional Library hosted a round table dedicated to two outstanding personalities of Kazakhstan: the 95th anniversary of Candidate of Philological Sciences, critic and translator Balamer Sakhariev and the 75th anniversary of the birth of corresponding member of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Toleukhan Biyarov.

    Balamer Sakhariyev, born in 1929 in the village of Yenbek, became an iconic figure in the literary and scientific life of Kazakhstan. In his career, he worked in various scientific and cultural institutions, including the magazine "Halyk mugalimi", where he was a literary worker and head of the department of the Kazakh language and literature. Sakhariev is the author of essays on the works of famous Kazakh writers such as M. Auezov, S. Mukanov and G. Mustafin, as well as a translator of N. Krupskaya's pedagogical works and a number of foreign works. In collaboration with M.Bazarbayev, he published a textbook for the 10th grade "Kazakh Council of Adebieti". He worked to popularize Kazakh literature and culture, and his contribution to the development of literature and translation remains important and significant to this day.

    Toleukhan Biyarov is a prominent representative of Kazakh science, the founder of the Kazakh school of cybernetics, the author of 243 scientific and methodological works, 17 textbooks and 8 monographs. He has trained 19 candidates of Sciences and 1 PHD of Physics and Math Sciences. Among his students are famous scientists such as J. Kulekeev, B. Zhumagulov, M. Kalimoldaev and others. Professor Biyarov is also the author of poems that were included in the collections of poems by poets Katon-Karagai, "Agazhai, Altaidai Zher Kaida" and "Olenge arkimnin-ak bar talasy".

    1. Biyarov was born in 1949 in the village of Enbek in the Katon-Karagai district. In his professional biography, significant stages are associated with his work at the Kazakh-British Technical University, where he headed the Faculty of Information Technology, and with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where he opened the department of Mathematical Cybernetics. In honor of his contribution to science, the T. N. Biyarov State Scientific Scholarship was awarded.

    The event was attended by students of D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, relatives of the anniversaries, fellow countrymen.

    Honored guests shared their memories at the meeting - a teacher with many years of experience Sakharieva Nurganym; a writer, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, winner of the international literary award "Alash" Magzumov Tokhtarbek; a poetess, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, winner of the international literary award "Alash" Raisova Bakytzhan; associate professor, Candidate of Philological Sciences of the East Kazahstan University named after S. Amanzholov Biyarov Berdibek; teacher, relative of B. Sakhariev - Asiya Raiymbekova.

    During the discussion, proposals were made to organize mathematical Olympiads named after Toleukhan Biyarov, celebrate the 100th anniversary of B. Sakhariev and name streets in honor of scientists.

    Participation of representatives of the EKR Ethnographic Museum in the International Scientific Conference in Barnaul

    The delegation of the East Kazakhstan Regional Ethnographic Museum, consisting of Candidate of Historical Sciences E. Rakhmatulina, Masters G. Kashaku, and A. Karchalova, took part in the International Scientific Conference «Turkology in the Modern World: Trends and Development Patterns», which was held on March 24-25 at the Bolshoy Altai Research and Education Center of the Altai State University. The conference brought together about 100 participants from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. During the conference, the participants discussed current issues related to the development of Turkology, the preservation of cultural heritage, and interdisciplinary research. The event served as an important platform for sharing experiences, establishing professional connections, and strengthening international scientific collaboration. As a result of the conference, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific articles in the «Oriental Studies» series, which will be indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index. Participation in the conference allowed the participants to expand their professional networks and identify new areas for the development of museum activities.

    «Nauryz is a spring holiday»

    On March 22, a bright and atmospheric celebration of Nauryz took place in the city's Central Square. On this day, the East Kazakhstan Ethnographic Museum prepared a festive thematic exhibition in a yurt, where everyone could experience the everyday life and heritage of the Kazakh people, feel the spirit of the past, and learn more about folk customs. Guests were also treated to a colorful fashion show featuring national costumes from the museum's collection, designed by K. Akashova.     Event about the volunteer movement in Kazakhstan

    Within the framework of the concept «Law and Order», the staff of the EKR Ethnographic Museum held an event «Volunteer activities in Kazakhstan: directions and features. Volunteer movement – as a tool of patriotic education» for 1st year students of the S. Amanzholov EKU and museum employees. The event was aimed at the formation of legal and social culture, strengthening the principles of civic responsibility in society, popularization of the volunteer movement in Kazakhstan. The speakers were Anel Renatkyzy Sharipzhanova, Head of the City Front Office of the Youth Resource Center Volunteers, a student at the S. Amanzholov EKU, volunteer Eldos Kaliyev, and Sh.M. Karibayeva, Head of the Information and Educational Department of the Museum-Reserve.

    «Kumbirle, Dombyra!»

    «The ADK River» shopping center hosted a festive event called «Kumbirle, Dombyra!» dedicated to the National Dombyra Day. The event's goal was to promote national art, introduce young people to their native culture, and popularize the spiritual heritage of the Kazakh people. Music performers and creative groups took part in the program. Guests of the event took part in quizzes and games dedicated to Kazakh musical art and kyui, and also assembled a dombra puzzle. The visitors were especially interested in the exhibition, which presented dombras belonging to famous personalities from the museum-reserve's collection, as well as the scientific works of a prominent figure in Kazakh music, kyuishi, and composer Uatkhan Zhunusov. The exhibition's motto «A real Kazakh is not a Kazakh, a real Kazakh is a dombra!» became the leitmotif of the entire holiday.

    «A Celebration of Imagination»

    A vibrant and joyful event took place at the East Kazakhstan Regional Library for Children and Youth — the grand opening of the summer library camp “A Celebration of Imagination.” Writer Orazai Zhenis warmly addressed the children and guests, wishing the young camp participants exciting discoveries, bright impressions, and joyful encounters with books. The library’s dance group “Kerim-ai!” gave an energetic performance that set the festive tone. Children were welcomed into themed play zones: “The Story of Paintings” — an immersive journey into the world of art and imagination, “Adventure Island” — exciting challenges and puzzles, “Reading Hall on the Grass” — a cozy space for reading and friendly conversations.
