
On November 21-22, 2024, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the republican forum of young librarians "Zhas kitaphanashi - 2024: Zhana mumkindikter uakyty 3.0" was held. This significant event was attended by librarians from all over the country between the ages of 19 and 35, striving to improve their professional activities and introduce innovations into their work.
The main purpose of the forum was the development of innovative approaches in library services, the use of modern technologies, in particular artificial intelligence, and support for young professionals. During the event, participants had the opportunity to meet with leading experts in the library field, take part in master classes and trainings, as well as discuss topical issues facing modern libraries.
One of the central events of the forum was the republican competition of projects for young librarians. The participants presented their works aimed at improving library services using technologies such as artificial intelligence, as well as developing creative and innovative approaches in librarianship. This competition has become an important platform for the exchange of experience and cooperation between young professionals.
Experts from the leading libraries of the region took part in the forum from the East Kazakhstan region: Zhiger Toleshоv (Pushkin Regional Library), Aknur Tokhtar (regional children's and youth library), Maral Esengulova (Bolshenarym regional library) and Kenzhetai Zhubysheva (Samara Regional Library). All of them presented their projects and shared their experiences with colleagues.
Special attention was drawn to the project of Zhiger Toleshоv, who became the winner of the competition in the nomination "For the best experience in using artificial intelligence in library activities". His project demonstrates the high level of implementation of modern technologies in library practice, which serves as a vivid example of how innovations can significantly improve the quality of library services.
The Forum was a significant step in supporting the professional growth of young librarians and creating a platform for their creative realization. Inspired by new knowledge and experience, the forum participants are confident that they will be able to implement the received ideas into their daily practice, developing libraries and making them accessible and relevant to modern users.
The event showed the importance of youth participation in the development of librarianship, as well as the need to introduce innovative solutions for further progress in the field of culture and education in Kazakhstan.
