
The evening of memory "In honor of talent..."
On December 12, a memorial evening dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the famous poet, Honorary Citizen of the Tarbagatai District Khamit Balshabekov was held at the East Kazakhstan Regional Library named after A.S. Pushkin.
As part of the event, a regional competition of expressive reading of the poet's poems was held.
The purpose of this competition is to promote the work of Khamit Balshabekov among the population, especially among young people, to improve language culture and support of talented youth. The participants of the competition demonstrated their skills in expressive reading of the poet's poems, thereby promoting his legacy and strengthening the cultural traditions of the region.
The evening was opened by actors of the East Kazakhstan Regional Drama and Operetta Theatre, who showed a theatrical performance about the poet, which made a great impression on the audience. More than 30 people took part in the competition in two age categories: 16-18 and 19-25 years old.
The winners of the competition were Kairat Asanali, a student of school No. 49 in Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Balgyn Darenkyzy from the village of Akzhar in Tarbagatai District. 2nd place was taken by a student of the East Kazakhstan Humanitarian College named after Abay, Kabysheva Aisulu and Ekimenko Maria, the third prize was taken by KAFU students - Korgau Dilyara and Tileikhan Islam. Special prizes were received by librarian Zamira Suleimenova and a student of secondary school No. 49 in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Akhmetbekova Aizere. Relatives of Khamit Balshabekov presented special prizes to the winners and prize-winners, which became a bright accent of the evening and a symbol of respect for the memory of the poet.
This evening became a vivid reminder of how important it is to preserve and promote cultural traditions and creativity, passing them on to future generations. Inspired by the poems of Khamit Balshabekov, the participants and the audience once again felt the power of poetry, which remains relevant and significant even decades later.
