
In the East Kazakhstan Regional Architectural-Ethnographic and Natural-Landscape Museum-Reserve in the exhibition complex on K.Kaisenov Street, 67, of the personal exhibition of paintings «Colors of Native Spaces from the Banks of the Uba» by Irina Borisovna Zhuravleva, an artist from the city of Shemonaikha, s taking place.
Irina Zhuravleva is a member of the International Representative Office of the Union of Teachers-Artists of Kazakhstan, a teacher of fine arts at the Shemonaikha School of Arts, an active participant in exhibitions and competitions at the regional, national and international levels.
The exhibition presents more than 50 works by the artist. Irina's favorite genre, during her student years, were fantastic images in a graphic solution. At the moment, the artist is attracted to landscapes in oil painting technique. The main part of the works presented in the exhibition are landscapes – scenes of life in her native city and its environs. A separate small series of works consisted of illustrations for the collection of poems by the poetess Elena Berdyugina «Compass of the Soul». They were made directly based on the author's poems.
