
On March 5, the Pushkin Regional Library hosted the regional competition "Abaydyn Togzhany", dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet, philosopher and educator Abai Kunanbayuly.
The competition was attended by girls aged 16 to 25 years — high school students (grades 10-11), students of secondary specialized and higher educational institutions of the city and the region.
The Competition program included several stages, each of which allowed to reveal the talent, intelligence and grace of the participants.:
- "Asempaz bolma arnege" is a self–presentation where appearance, personal qualities and self-confidence were evaluated.
- Onergeakimnin-ak bar talasy" is a creative contest in which participants read excerpts from poems and words of edification by Abai, performed his songs or kuis.
"Zhasymda gylym bar dep eskermedim" was an intellectual stage that tested knowledge about Abai's life and work, horizons and resourcefulness.
- Kazakhstan ak kumisty ken mandaily" was a fashion show in national costumes, where not only the beauty of the outfit was important, but also posture, culture of behavior and stagecraft.
The performances of the contestants were evaluated by recognized experts:
Nuriya Seitbekkyzy Temirkhanova is the author of the books "Ush kizdyn anasi", "Kazima Khat", founder of the NUR SANA Education Center and the Princess Academy, chairman of the East Kazakhstan Region Republican public association "Kazak Analary - dasturli zhol".
Sholpan Keneskhankyzy Lakayeva is an excellent student of culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, singer, actress.
- Marhabat Armankyzi Baigabylova is a lecturer at the Department of Kazakh, Russian Philology and Journalism at the S. Amanzholov Moscow State University.
According to the results of the competition, the jury determined the winners in the following categories::
- "Koremen kozaymy" – Merey Bagydashay (teacher-organizer of KSU "Gerasimovka Secondary School").
- "Tapkyr kyz" – Janelle Janibekova (11th grade student at school No. 49 Ust-Kamenogorsk).
- "Korikti kyz" – Rinata Shempaeva (11th grade student at school No. 42 in Ust-Kamenogorsk).
- "Daryndy kyz" – Ayaulym Abylmazhinova (1st year student of the Abai College of Humanities).
The prizes were distributed as follows:
- III place – Shugyla Nurlankyzy (4th year student of the VC College of Humanities).
Second place – Zarina Kulcharova (10th grade student at Kaldzhyr secondary school).
- Grand Prix - Inkar Serik (3rd year student of KAFU).
All the prize-winners and winners of the nominations received cash prizes and certificates from beauty salons of the regional center.
The "Abaydyn Togzhany" contest became a bright event that gave the participants and the audience an unforgettable experience. He not only emphasized the beauty and intelligence of the contestants, but also recalled the spiritual legacy of Abai Kunanbayuly, which continues to inspire new generations.
