No poet becomes a master alone. They need a spiritual environment, mentoring and support from a young age. The activities of the Akyn Regional School will be aimed at fulfilling this mission. The opening ceremony took place on March 9 at the Pushkin East Kazakhstan Regional Library. The new library project, the Akyn School, is named after the famous countryman Aktan Nurbayev, who was a special example of serving the poetic word and made a significant contribution to the regional art of Aitys.
The honorary guests of the opening ceremony were relatives of the poet Aktan Nurbayev, as well as well-known people of the country, including publicist, poet, TV presenter, organizer of contemporary art Aitys Zhursin Yerman, deputy of the Mazhilis Parliament, aityker Amanzhol Altai, State Prize laureate, poet Ulukbek Yesdauletov, director of the VK branch of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan Alibek Kantarbayev. Multiple winners of republican and regional aitys Abash Kakenov, Serik Kusanbayev, as well as representatives of the next generation of popular aitysks, such as Serikzat Duisengazy, Zhanarbek Ashimzhan, Daulet Smetov, could not miss this important event.
The established Akyn school aims to inspire and support talented young people, help them find their own style, their literary and poetic image and further improve the art of oral improvisation as a special type of folk song poetry. Young people with a poetic gift will study at the Akyn School in several areas. For example, within the framework of the "Art of Akyn" direction, School participants will learn the basics of aitys and get acquainted with its traditional genres. Accordingly, the direction of "Poetry" provides assistance in the development of poetic skills. For participants interested in the art of eloquence and stage culture, classes in the "Public Speaking" cycle are offered.
By the way, the opening of the Regional Akyn School is the first event of the current year within the framework of the activities of the East Kazakhstan Regional Library named after A. S. Pushkin to preserve and develop oral folk memory and support the continuity of literary and poetic traditions of the region. Among other significant events of the year in this direction, a large–scale republican aitys "Karasozdin karageri Kalikhan" and other major events dedicated to the anniversaries of the famous East Kazakhstan countrymen - masters of the word Kalikhan Yerkak and Didakhmet Ashimkhanuly are planned. The organizers hope that the Regional Akyn School named after Aktan Nurbayev will form a new generation of talented poetic youth and open up new names in the culture of East Kazakhstan.
