Tel-Aviv, 10 September 2025. The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Israel Daulet Yemberdiyev held a meeting with the President and Secretary-General of the Organization «Mediterranean Perspectives and the Italian Network for Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue» Professor Enrico Molinaro.

The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, the advancement of joint scientific initiatives, and the anticipated participation of the Professor in the upcoming VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening collaboration and expanding academic research in the sphere of interreligious dialogue and global confessional interaction.

Particular emphasis was placed on the current situation in the Middle East, especially regarding the promotion of constructive dialogue and the consolidation of interfaith harmony.

In his remarks, E.Molinaro highlighted the significance of the VIII Congress and commended R’s substantial contribution to fostering multilateral cooperation, strengthening global stability, and advancing a culture of tolerance on the international stage.

They also discussed pressing topics on the international agenda.

During the meeting, the Kazakh Foreign Minister congratulated his counterpart on the Organization’s 80th anniversary, noting its contribution to global food security and sustainable agricultural development. Minister Kosherbayev emphasized that joint projects have already been launched within the framework of the Partnership Program between Kazakhstan and FAO, and expressed readiness to further expand cooperation in this area. The parties discussed ways to promote cooperation and considered the possibility of establishing a second partnership program in the field of water resources. At the end of the meeting, Minister Kosherbayev and Director-General Qu Dongyu took part in the official opening of the “Kazakhstan” Room at FAO headquarters, which is a multifunctional space, open to all member states and the Organization’s Secretariat. The 2 nd Edition of the Astana Think Tank Forum to Unite Global Decisionmakers Around New Strategies for Cross-Border Collaboration The Astana Think Tank Forum 2025 , unfolding on 15–16 October 2025 in the Kazakh capital, will unite policymakers, opinion leaders and heads of major think tanks from Kazakhstan and abroad to identify new strategies for global collaboration that can restore trust in the international system and mitigate growing polarization. Now in its second year, the Forum is held under the aegis of the Astana International Forum (AIF) and organized by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazISS). Last year’s inaugural event brought together more than 45 experts from 22 countries, establishing the event as a respected and inclusive platform for expert-led debates on today’s most pressing international issues. The 2025 programme will offer nine sessions that explore actionable steps for improving multilateral cooperation amid great-power competition. The topics discussed will include the transformation of the security architecture and the future of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation; Central Asia’s positioning within a shifting geopolitical landscape; effective investment strategies in an era of fragmented global markets; the development of trade and transport corridors across Eurasia; the opportunities and ethical dilemmas associated with artificial intelligence; and the impact of climate change and water scarcity on demographic dynamics and migration.
