During the exercise, the readiness of management bodies, forces of the city subsystem of the state civil protection system of the Republic of Kazakhstan for practical actions to implement measures to ensure civil protection, as well as during the elimination of natural and man-caused emergencies is checked.
The first phase will be worked out a complex of measures: informing the management and staff of governing bodies, gathering, specifying plans of civil defense and population protection, checking the readiness of the notification system.
In this regard, on February 18, 2020, the readiness of civil protection teams and formations that are part of the emergency response unit was checked on Nauryz square.
The event was held under the leadership of Colonel Yergali Bakhayev, the Deputy head of the Department of emergency situations, during which the equipment of staff of the territorial rescue and engineering teams were trained. Teams and groups of the emergency response team that provide life support in possible emergencies are created on the basis of large objects in the city.
The team consists of 150 personnel and 35 units of equipment.
The emergency response team is intended for the search, evacuation, provide first aid and transport of the injured, who were under the rubble of destroyed and damaged buildings and structures on the territory of Shymkent city, as well as eliminate the consequences of natural disasters and accidents.
