Article 25 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Appraisal Activities" provides for the suspension, termination, deprivation of certificates of assignment of qualifications "appraiser," "expert."
For example, if the appraiser draws up an inaccurate assessment report more than twice, liability is provided in the form of deprivation of the certificate of qualification "appraiser."
Also, criminal liability of appraisers is provided in accordance with Article 251 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan for using their powers contrary to the tasks of their activities and in order to obtain benefits and advantages for themselves or other persons, or organizations or harm to other persons or organizations, if this act caused significant harm to the rights and legitimate interests of citizens or organizations or the interests of society or the state protected by law.
Article 184 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Administrative Offenses" provides for the responsibility of the chambers of appraisers (for late provision or failure to provide, as well as provision of inaccurate information in the form established by the authorized body in the field of appraisal activities and failure by the chamber of appraisers to eliminate violations of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on appraisal activities identified during the audit by the authorized body in the field of appraisal activities).
