The two sides also discussed the possibility of establishing a “Peru–Kazakhstan” Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Congress of Peru. In addition, they expressed mutual interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in the mining sector, particularly in the production and supply of lithium, as well as in transport and logistics.
The Peruvian side proposed considering the official concurrent accreditation of the Embassy of Kazakhstan to Peru, based in Lima and on the principle of reciprocity. At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular working contacts between the diplomatic missions of the two countries.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan congratulated the Peruvian side on the successful conduct of the country’s presidential elections and, in connection with the completion of the Peruvian Ambassador’s diplomatic mission in Brazil, expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Rómulo Acurio for the close and friendly cooperation throughout his tenure.
