The Department for the Protection of State Secrets of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an independent structural unit of the General Prosecutor's Office.
The Department is guided in its activities by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Prosecutor's Office", other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, orders and instructions of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Regulations on the Department for the Protection of State Secrets of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
