"Paryz" is an annual corporate social responsibility competition aimed at establishing and promoting the principles of corporate social responsibility among private businesses in Kazakhstan, encouraging them to adopt best practices in this area. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 23, 2008, No. 523 "On the Paryz competition on corporate social responsibility," the organizers include the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan, Atameken, and the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan. The competition, which involves private business entities, is held at both regional and national levels. Titles are awarded to laureates in the categories "Small and Medium Business Entity" and "Large Business Entity" in the following nominations: 1) "Best Socially Responsible Enterprise." This nomination evaluates candidates who implement social programs to support their personnel, including wage organization, social payments, labor protection, and professional training and retraining systems. 2) "Best Enterprise in the Field of Labor Protection." This nomination assesses candidates who create working conditions that help maintain the health of workers during their work. 3) "Best Collective Agreement." This nomination reviews collective agreements that significantly enhance and protect the labor and social rights of workers as outlined by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 4) "For Contribution to the Environment." This nomination recognizes candidates who have made significant contributions through environmental programs aimed at improving the state of the environment. Participation in the competition is free. Applicants must present their social programs aimed at improving the well-being of society in general and the employees of a private business in particular, confirming their corporate social responsibility. The programs and projects include activities carried out by applicants independently and/or in partnership with civil society institutions and local executive bodies, aimed at achieving positive changes in the social sphere. Social responsibility should enhance competitiveness. Applicants who: 1) have been in business for at least three years; 2) are not in the process of liquidation, have not been declared bankrupt; 3) have no outstanding violations of labor legislation, including overdue wage arrears and other payments to employees; 4) have no collective labor disputes with employees; 5) carry out social and charitable activities in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which should not be aimed at supporting political, trade union and religious organizations; 6) the application for participation in the competition has provided reliable information and submitted documents in full. To participate in the competition, applicants must submit two copies to the department or departments responsible for coordinating employment and social programs. These copies should include: 1) a completed application according to the appendix of these rules; 2) a report from the applicant, which should be a self-assessment of their activities and specific results in corporate social responsibility. The applicant's report shall include: the history of the legal entity or individual; organizational structure; other additional information; 3) an appendix to the report (a copy of the collective agreement and other documents); 4) a questionnaire completed in the form in accordance with the appendix. Repeated nomination for the title of laureate of the competition shall not be allowed within two years after receiving this title in a certain nomination. In the context of the global fight against corruption, drawing the attention of the younger generation to these key issues is particularly important. Therefore, the international youth contest for social anti-corruption advertisements, “Together Against Corruption!”, aims to support and develop creative youth initiatives in producing anti-corruption content. The contest provides a unique platform for young people aged 10 to 25, allowing them to express their views on corruption through various forms of advertisement, from videos to posters. This competition not only stimulates the creativity of young people but also helps strengthen the interaction between society and public authorities in the fight against corruption. The acceptance of works for the competition is carried out until October 1, 2024. Participation is open to all who wish to register on the official website of the contest www.anticorruption.life. The contest is scheduled to be held on December 9, the International Anti-Corruption Day.
