June 1 is International Children's Day.
The most reliable protection for a child is a healthy, friendly, prosperous family. Children are our hope, our future. There is nothing more beautiful than a childhood full of joy and happiness, and it is the task of the family, society and the state to make it so.
The purpose of Children's Day is to remind that children have the right to life, freedom of opinion, education and protection.
The holiday was established in November 1949 by the decision of the Congress of the International Democratic Federation of Women.
The Republic of Kazakhstan has ratified the main international legal documents on the protection of the rights of minors, in the implementation of which the relevant laws and decrees establishing the rights and duties of children have been adopted.
The main international treaty is the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted by the United Nations on November 20, 1989.
