
May 1 is the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan. This holiday reflects public harmony and stability, as well as mutual respect and cooperation among representatives of various ethnic groups in our country.
The holiday has been celebrated since 1996. In accordance with the Decree of October 18, 1995 May 1 was declared the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan.
Today, more than 130 ethnic groups live in Kazakhstan under one shanyrak. All citizens have equal rights before the law and contribute to the country’s development. This is the result of a stable social system and effective public policy.
