Shagurashid Mamalinov has been appointed as new deputy akim (governor) of Karaganda region.
The appointment was agreed by the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Karaganda regional administration.
Born in 1958, Mr. Mamalinov is a graduate of the Kunayev Tselinograd Agricultural Institute.
Since 2007 he held various posts in the Karaganda regional administration. Since June 2013 he was the head of the natural resources department of Karaganda region.
