You are cordially invited to participate in the Women Summit, an international event for advancing women’s economic empowerment in Central Asia and Afghanistan.

About the event:

The Women Summit in Central Asia and Afghanistan, an international event on building gender equality, will be held on August 23, 2021. Policymakers, leaders of businesses and international organizations, and innovators from Central Asia, South Asia, the United States and other countries, will gather to discuss the women workforce’s potential, and post-pandemic trends and opportunities for achieving greater women’s economic empowerment in the region.

Registered attendees will have access to the event, be able to attend 3 summit sessions led by nearly 20 panelists, and interact with participants from around the world.

The Women Summit responds to the fact that the COVID-19 crisis has exacerbated gender inequalities and reinforces the urgency to maintain strong economic growth and improve women’s participation in the formal economy. As economies start to recover from the pandemic, we must put women’s participation at the heart of rebuilding efforts.

This event is organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development (KazAID), in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commercial Law Development Program) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

About the seminar In the framework of cooperation between the Kazakhstan Agency for International Development «KazAID» and the Japan International Cooperation Agency «JICA», with the support of the Kazakhstan-Japan Center for Human Development «KJC», We invite you to participate in an online seminar on the topic: Kazakhstan-Japan experience in business management «KAIZEN» Date : 2-4 March, 2022 Time : 13.00-16.00 (Nur-Sultan)/12.00-15.00 (Ashgabat, Dushanbe) Duration : 3 sessions, 3 hours each (9 hours in total) Goal of the seminar To share with participants the skills and knowledge of the KAIZEN business management method, which originated in Japan and has gained worldwide recognition in the field of entrepreneurship and management, including Kazakhstan. Format The seminar will use the Zoom meeting and group work platform, allowing participants to interact with each other to create an effective network of like-minded professionals. Kazakhstan-Japan Center for Human Development «KJC»: The Kazakhstan-Japan Center was founded in 2000 within the framework of the intergovernmental agreement between Japan and Kazakhstan as a project of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Since 2012, the Center under the management of Narxoz University, continues implementing its mission of human recourse development in Kazakhstan. In addition to familiarizing Kazakhstanis with the culture and language of Japan, special attention is paid to conducting trainings on Japanese management. Until 2012 JICA actively dispatched Japanese specialists in the field of production management and quality control who, on the basis of the Center, conducted open seminars for Kazakhstani entrepreneurs. Now Centre practices seminars for entrepreneurs and companies under the direction of experienced Kazakhstani consultants. Special focus is on the subject of lean production, quality control and promotion of Kaizen philosophy in Kazakhstan. Applying acquired knowledge and implementing lean manufacturing tools some local companies have increased efficiency and improved their performance.
